Tara Dowling is an independent college admissions consultant with a 35-year career spanning five U.S. states and three countries: Russia, Turkey, and China. She has held various roles in college counseling and admissions, including positions at Worcester Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall, the Anglo-American School of Moscow, and Dulwich College in Shanghai. Tara has worked on both sides of the desk, in international admissions and independent school counseling, and has presented at numerous professional conferences. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Linguistics from Boston University and is fluent in several languages. She enjoys writing about college admissions and serves on the NEACAC Professional Development Committee.
